Dr Josh Townley BForensSc (Hons), PhD is a Scientific Writer for Ego Pharmaceuticals. Josh has been working at Ego since 2010, first as an R&D Chemist where he helped develop and reformulate products, then in the Regulatory Affairs department, preparing documentation for product registrations. He now performs a range of duties, from researching and writing academic articles, to investigating new ways to innovate at Ego using data and AI.
Josh holds a PhD in Chemistry from Monash University. His research involved working with rare earth and alkaline earth complexes that could be used to catalyse reactions for producing biodegradable polymers.
In his spare time, Josh writes horror and science fiction and in 2021 won the Australian Shadows Award for best novel.
Bachelor of Forensic Science with Honours 1st Class: Deakin University
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry: Monash University School of Chemistry
Thesis: Synthesis, Structures and Reactivity of Rare Earth and Alkaline Earth Aryloxides
