Dr Jacqueline Matulich (BSc, BHB, MBChB, FACD) is an expert in adult and paediatric skin care. Her far-ranging abilities in all aspects of dermatology – medical, surgical, and cosmetic – make her an astute diagnostician who can provide customised solutions, tailored to her patients. She has a comforting “chair side manner” and is thorough in her approach to each patient’s assessment.
Dr Matulich is proactive in the management of sun damage and skin cancers. She performs skin cancer checks on patients at our practice, often providing the early detection that means successful treatment and cure. Her other interests in medical dermatology include solutions for acne, rosacea, and inflammatory skin conditions that rob patients of full, active lives. Dr Matulich performs laser treatments to optimise the skin well-being of her male and female patients.
Dr Matulich has worked in both Australia and New Zealand and gained a wide range of skills after working in intensive care medicine and emergency medicine before undertaking to become a Dermatologist. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology earning awards for distinction before completing her medical training at Auckland University.
She was awarded a Research Fellowship at the Skin and Cancer Foundation Australia and researched the genetics of atopic dermatitis before commencing her training in dermatology in Sydney, Australia.
Dr Matulich is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. Her work has been published in leading international journals of dermatology and her expertise continues to be sought as she is invited to participate on advisory committees. Dr Matulich’s commitment to education is evidenced in the lectures she gives to peers at dermatological and medical forums and conferences and the teaching of medical students and dermatology trainees. She is a Supervisor of Training for the Australasian College of Dermatologists.
Dr Matulich is a Senior Staff Specialist at the Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick. She conducts regular paediatric clinics there, including one of only two specialist laser clinics in NSW, which treat children with vascular birthmarks.
Her commitment to patient satisfaction and her winning ways with young patients make her a popular and sought-after dermatologist in Ultimo.
